Learn About the Restoration Steps

  • 1

Step 1The entire surface is thoroughly cleaned, and pressure washed. Dirt, debris and grime all compromise the potential adhesion process. It is imperative that the surface is clean. This simple step is literally a make or break deal in your restoration process.
  • 2

Step 2A layer of primer is applied directly to the cleaned surface. The primer provides an initial layer of protection to the roofing structure, as well as preparing the area for the rest of the restoration.

Step 3Existing seams are covered with a reinforced fabric material. This material is designed to eliminate the potential for the seam to develop any form of leak or separation. The fabric is chemically adhered to the seam area in an overlay pattern. All wrinkles, bulges or other imperfections are smoothed away.

Step 4A hard base coat is sprayed over the entire area, including the fabric coated seams. This gives you roof the first layer of monolithic coating. As a single, seam-free system, the risk of leak development is virtually eliminated.
  • 5

Step 5Protrusions, flashings and other areas of risk are reinforced, much in the same fashion as the seams. Fabric is laid up over the connecting areas and a base coat applied over that fabric, integrating with the overall monolithic layer present.

Step 6A highly reflective top-coat is sprayed over the entire roofing structure, protrusion areas, flashings and any additional component. This coating not only reinforces the monolithic nature of the restoration, it also provides the reflectivity, and resulting cooling cost savings, cool roofs are known for.
